DIY Fringe Scarf

I love a good refashion/upcycle! When you look in your closet, I bet you can find some old shirts and pants to refashion. I recently went through mine an pulled out some old clothing. Now, the fun begins!

I decided to take an old yellow shirt and make a DIY Fringe Scarf. This shirt is light weight so the scarf can be worn in spring and summer. The color reminded me of spring and I knew my mint colored jeans would be perfectly paired with it.

Here is what I did:

Don’t miss it because this is sooo very easy!

First, cut the shirt at the arms. Go straight across.

You will be left with this.

Next, cut the shirt(both sides).

It’s beginning to look a lot like fringe.

Now, pull the pieces so you stretch the shirt out.

You are done! Slide it over your head and wear it as a scarf.

Pair it up with a cute pair of jeans for a casual spring or summer look!

Make yourself one and refashion those old clothes! It doesn’t have to be hard or time consuming.

So Easy, So Fringy and So La-Dee-Da!

Super cute way to upcycle an old shirt! I love turning t-shirts I don’t wear into things, but a scarf is a new one for me!
