Deco Mesh Wreath

A friend of mine just moved into a new home and I knew that a wreath was the perfect house warming gift. I love making deco mesh wreaths and decided that she needed one. Of course, I knew I wanted the letter of her last name to be on it but other than that I started with a blank slate.

I saw this beautiful blue color at Hobby Lobby and it inspired me. I knew brown would look great with it.

You will need a wreath form like this one.

Also, you need pipe cleaners or wire. I used wire to attach the deco mesh. If you haven’t used deco mesh before, don’t be intimidated. It really is easy to maneuver and work with. Just work one section at a time and use wire to attach. After you go around the outer ring, do the same for the other rings. Then, add your embellishments. I used ribbon, flowers and a big C.

IMG_8800 I love the blue and brown together. I painted the letter C white because it is a pop of contrast.

You can find deco mesh at craft stores. I found mine at Hobby Lobby but look around. I bought some red, white and blue colors and I have plans for a summer patriotic wreath.

I hope you will make one and have fun!!!!

So lovely, so wreath fun and So La-Dee-Da!!!
