Kids Craft{Toilet Paper Roll Bats}

This week was fall break and we got crafty! We are having a BIG Halloween Party this year called, Little Monsters Cupcakery and so we have been crafting for it. We want each kid to get a favor when they come so we created Toilet Paper Roll bats. These are easy and fun to do. Your kids will love helping!

You will need:

~ Black Paint

~toilet paper rolls

~white paint

~Black Cardstock

~Scissors and glue

~ Bat wing template or free hand

First, start out by painting your rolls black. The kids love this part!

Next, fold the top down one side at a time. I also pinched the sides to get a better crease and it looks like bat ears.

It should look like this.

Now, print out a bat wing template or freehand like I did. I used chalk to draw on my black cardstock. Worked great and better than pen that you can barely see.

Just glue on the wings to the back. Your bat should look like this now. He is almost done!

Now, onto the eyes.

We did a white dot and added in funny eyes. But you can use googly eyes too. That would be cute!

Aren’t they cute?

Finally, we filled them with candy. We used paper to glue on the bottom to seal it shut. For our party, we are going to hang them upside down and let the kids grab their treats.

I love how these turned out and  they are an easy and fun kid craft. My 8 year old and I came up with this idea on a whim and I think we suceeded in crafty cuteness!!!

So batty, So cute and SO La-Dee-Da!!!

Haha! I also made my bats out of toilet paper rolls with my kids! I can’t remember where I saw the idea from. It was a fun project for the kids! They had a blast.

Now these are the kind of bats I wouldn’t mind having in my house. What a great project for kids. I am off to pin!
